What to Expect

Life in the Community

Sunday Worship

Worship includes an intentional mix of clergy and laity, male and female, young and old. This demonstrates weekly the common ground on which we approach the opportunity of worship. We gather in community, and we worship in community. You’ll find people in suits and dresses and you’ll see others in shorts and t-Shirts. Worship is a collection of who we can be together so all are invited to come as you are. We would love for you to join us for Worship on Sundays as we follow God’s call together.

Midweek Fellowship

From September through May gather together for midweek nourishment. Wednesday evenings take a more casual feel with dinner from 5:45-6:30, including options for kids and adults, before children (pre-k to 5th) move to kid zone mission learning in room E-103 and the Students gather for vespers in the Youth Building. Adults are invited to continue fellowship together or gather in one of our small groups. From Book studies to faith and culture topics there are plenty of opportunities to engage in conversations around life and faith. The sanctuary choir rehearses afterwards beginning at 7:30pm.

Special Services

From muffins with mom and donuts with dad, to a Thanksgiving community meal invitations to gather together are paramount to our practice of being the church. We follow a liturgical calendar and our pastor follows the lectionary throughout the year, which means that throughout the seasons there are several special services offered. Whether is the Christmas Eve Candlelight, Epiphany star service, multiple Advent and Lenten offerings, or Special services like the Hannah Service of grief and loss or Pentecost at the Park and river Baptisms, there are always special events and chances to reflect in new ways about what it looks like to follow Christ in community in our daily lives.

There is a nursery available for kids but we also believe that children learn to faith from engaging in worship with others so we include elements in worship specifically geared for children as well. From the children’s sermon, kids bulletins, and the books and activities in our prayground, kids are always welcome
